As part of ongoing efforts to explore innovative financing mechanisms and engage the private sector in the development agenda, Save the Children in Peru participated in the Peru Sostenible 2026 Summit, the country’s leading sustainability forum. The organization’s presence was designed to position Save the Children not only as an implementing partner, but as a strategic ally capable of adding value to corporate sustainability agendas.

Through an interactive space, the team showcased concrete interventions in vulnerable regions like Piura, where recurring climate events—such as the El Niño phenomenon—disrupt education and family livelihoods. By sharing impact stories focused on community resilience and economic inclusion, the team demonstrated how the organization’s work directly contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), generating key data and impact evidence essential for corporate accountability.

At the heart of this proposal to the corporate sector is the Youth with a Future Collaborative Fund, an initiative designed to channel local private investment into three priority areas: life skills and employability training, educational retention schemes, and pathways for job placement and local economic strengthening. This framework enables companies to co-finance projects with high technical traceability and quantitative metrics aligned with international reporting standards.

This strategy directly aligns with Save the Children’s global ambition to diversify funding streams and reduce reliance on traditional funding schemes, proving that local private investment can be mobilized sustainably when aligned with corporate sustainability priorities. By offering measurable social returns and technical inputs for corporate impact reports, the Country Office is opening new avenues to build lasting, multi-year partnerships.

This event serves as a steppingstone in which Save the Children in Peru reaffirms the importance of innovating in private sector engagement, positioning child and youth rights as a driver of regional development and a catalyst for the long-term financial sustainability of our work globally.
