Swiss delegation visits programs executed by Save the Children in Peru

With enthusiasm, Save the Children Peru received the visit of an important delegation from Switzerland. The delegation was made up of Alex Brans, Director of International Operations of SC Switzerland, and Nina Bissig, Director of Commercial Operations of the same office, together with representatives of an European corporate partnery.

On their first day in Peru, the delegation visited the Sala de Calma in San Juan de Miraflores, a space that Save the Children has implemented to protect the mental health of vulnerable families.

They then toured the Santa Rosa district, where they met with community leaders and students from a local college, who have been trained to respond appropriately to potential natural disasters.

The Swiss delegation also came to San Juan de Lurigancho, where they visited the “Lactawawita” implemented in the hospital of said district. This is a space for the protection of breastfeeding that Peruvian and migrant mothers can attend.

In addition, the delegation was also in Ñuñunwayo, Jauja, where he provided information on how droughts affect the production of its main economic source: chuño. In addition, they participated in the swearing-in of the Community Committee for Anticipatory Actions in the area.

Finally, Santa Rosa de Chopcca was visited, in the same region, where the Life Projects and Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy Fair was held.
